The Pirate's Code
Every ship needs a code. Follow these rules to keep your voyage smooth and fair.
All code must be written during the 36-hour window. No pre-built projects allowed.
You may use open-source libraries, APIs, and frameworks. Just credit what you use.
Crews must have 2-4 members. Solo pirates can join our crew-matching board.
Share your GitHub repo and a 3-minute demo video before the deadline.
No plagiarism, no sabotage, no cheating. Pirates have honor — break the code and walk the plank.
Harassment of any kind is grounds for immediate removal. All pirates are equal aboard this ship.
Submissions close at the 36-hour mark. Late entries walk the plank — no exceptions.
Projects scored on innovation, technical complexity, design, and presentation. May the best crew win.

Anyone with a passion for building — students, professionals, self-taught coders, designers, and dreamers. All skill levels welcome. Whether you're a seasoned captain or stepping on deck for the first time, there's a place for you aboard Voyage Hackathon.
Teams can be 2-4 members. If you're sailing solo, don't worry — we have a crew-matching board to help you find teammates before the voyage begins.
No! Voyage Hackathon is completely free to participate. Just bring your laptop, your creativity, and your sense of adventure. Food and swag are on us.
Yes! Voyage Hackathon supports both onsite and online participation. Remote pirates get the same access to mentors, resources, and prizes as those on the island.
Bring your laptop, charger, any hardware you want to hack on, and a reusable water bottle. We provide food, caffeine, swag, sleeping bags, and high-speed internet.
Projects are evaluated on four criteria: innovation (30%), technical complexity (25%), design & UX (20%), and presentation (25%). Judges include industry leaders, tech veterans, and past hackathon winners.
You can use open-source libraries, APIs, and frameworks. However, your project's core logic and implementation must be built during the 36-hour hackathon window. No pre-built projects.
